Blurb Listening to Om

This is the initial sketch for a poster sized work. Blurb ponders the universe and listens to it's sound.

  1. In the rough stages that its in right now I see this more of blurb meditating rather than listening to the sounds of space.

I say this becasue of the position and pose of blurb, as well as the orientation of the piece. The big open space being above the figure with a circular object behind him is how a lot of religious paintings are done.

I mean if you're okay with that and want it have that almost iconographic feel i think you captured it!

Look forward to seeing the piece coming together

  2. the om is the sound that is meditated and supposedly the sound of the universe. and i was going for that religious iconography look.

  3. Looks pretty cool. Blurb is a awesome character.
Just one suggestion, that you don't have to take, but I thought it would like cool to have the space swirling around Blurb, like he's not only meditating about the universe, but is reaching that higher understanding and even control over the universe.
